How to add and configure your website in Supapin

When you add a website, Supapin looks for your sitemap.xml file at the standard location (yoursite.com/sitemap.xml). The sitemap tells Supapin which pages exist on your site.

For each page found in the sitemap, Supapin extracts the URL and stores it as an available page for pin generation. When you later generate pins, Supapin scrapes each selected page to extract the title, description, and featured images to use in pin creation.

Supapin works with any website that has a sitemap.xml file. This includes WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Ghost, Webflow, custom-built sites, and virtually any other platform.

As long as your site has a publicly accessible sitemap and your pages have standard HTML meta tags (title, description, Open Graph images), Supapin can scan and generate pins from them.

Your website needs a valid sitemap.xml file for Supapin to discover your pages. Most CMS platforms generate this automatically. If you're not sure whether your site has one, try visiting yoursite.com/sitemap.xml in your browser.

If your site doesn't have a sitemap, most platforms have plugins or settings to enable it. For WordPress, plugins like Yoast SEO or Rank Math generate sitemaps automatically. For Shopify, sitemaps are built-in at yourstore.com/sitemap.xml.

After scanning, you can see all discovered pages in your website settings. You can choose which pages to include when generating pins. This is useful if you want to focus on specific blog categories, product lines, or landing pages.

Supapin remembers which pages have already had pins generated, so you can easily identify new content that hasn't been pinned yet.
