How to connect your Pinterest account to Supapin

Step-by-step guide to connecting your Pinterest account via OAuth, understanding permissions, and managing multiple accounts.

Connecting via OAuth

Supapin connects to Pinterest using the official OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. Click "Connect Pinterest" in your dashboard, and you'll be redirected to Pinterest's login page where you authorize Supapin.

After authorizing, Pinterest sends a secure token back to Supapin. This token allows Supapin to create pins and read your boards on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time from your Pinterest settings.

Permissions explained

Supapin requests only the permissions it needs: the ability to read your boards (so it can select the right board for each pin) and create pins (so it can publish on your behalf).

Supapin cannot access your private messages, follower lists, or any personal data beyond what's needed for pin management. All communication happens through Pinterest's official API v5.

Multiple Pinterest accounts

You can connect multiple Pinterest accounts to a single Supapin team. This is useful if you manage different brands or niches on separate Pinterest accounts.

Each website can be assigned a default Pinterest account for publishing. When generating pins, Supapin uses the Pinterest account configured for that website. You can change the default account at any time from your website settings.
