How does Supapin choose Pinterest boards for your pins?
Learn how Supapin's AI selects the most relevant boards for each pin, and how to set manual overrides.
How AI board selection works
When generating pins, Supapin analyzes each page's content and matches it against your available Pinterest boards. The AI considers the page title, description, and content to determine which board is the best fit.
For example, a recipe blog post would be matched to a "Recipes" or "Food" board, while a travel guide would go to a "Travel" or "Destinations" board. The AI aims for the most relevant match to maximize each pin's visibility.
Setting default boards per website
If you prefer more control, you can set a default board for each website in your settings. When a default board is set, all pins from that website will be assigned to that board regardless of the AI's suggestion.
This is useful for niche websites where all content belongs on the same board, or when you have a specific board strategy you want to follow.
Manual board overrides
After pins are generated, you can change the board assignment for any individual pin. Simply click on the pin, select a different board from the dropdown, and save your change.
This gives you the flexibility to use automatic selection for most pins while manually adjusting specific ones that might fit better on a different board. Your manual changes are preserved through publishing.
